Teacher Appreciation Day at LMS

Seizing the Opportunity of Teacher Appreciation Day: Teacher Appreciation Day at the Louisville Middle School provided the perfect occasion for me to delve into soap production on a larger scale.

Crafting the Embeds: I began by crafting the embeds using a melt-and-pour crystal soap base, using an embed in the shape of the iconic symbol of teacher appreciation: a vibrant red apple.

Creating the Bars with Care: Working in batches of 10 or 20, I followed my signature body bar recipe, ensuring quality and consistency with each batch. Witnessing the emergence of glycerin rivers was a gratifying sight. Unlike commercial soaps that often strip away this moisturizing component, retaining glycerin in our handmade bars ensures added skin hydration. To impart a delicate, natural aroma, I opted for a bamboo fragrance, lending a subtle and neutral scent to each bar.

Personal Touches by Lucas: Our son, Lucas, a seventh-grader at LMS, utilized his creativity by crafting custom stamps on his 3D printer, proudly imprinting the school's initials onto each bar.

Thoughtful Presentation: Inspired by an idea from my husband, we gave each bar with a tag reminiscent of composition paper, expressing our gratitude to the teachers who pour their effort and passion into educating our children.

Quality Ingredients: Our soap recipe comprises a blend of nourishing ingredients, including coconut oil, olive oil, shea butter, avocado oil and rice bran oil, carefully selected for their skin-loving properties. Additional components such as white kaolin clay and sodium lactate contribute to the luxurious feel and performance of each bar.

Variations in Weight: Each handcrafted bar may vary slightly in weight, ranging between 4 and 5 ounces. This slight variance underscores the artisanal nature of our creations, adding to their charm and uniqueness.
